Terms & Conditions

The following terms and conditions relate to any purchase from Handmade By Emma and by making any purchase from our website you are deemed to have agreed with the Terms and Conditions posted. Our Terms and Conditions are what you would expect for a website of our nature and are subject to change, by us, at any time we deem necessary.

Card Security

We currently have no facility for online payments but in the future all payments will be processed through Stripe and as such there is no increased risk associated with a purchase from Handmade By Emma than with any other credit card purchase.

Delivery

We currently undertake to only deliver within the UK (we don't post to Northern Ireland).
Our standard postage rates covers UK mainland delivery only:- £3.50 for standard orders; £4.95 for heavier orders

We are happy to despatch some of our products outside UK mainland e.g Channel Islands, etc but please contact us before placing your order so that we are able to calculate the correct postage cost for your order.
Generally there will be no extra charge on most orders under 2Kg to anywhere in the UK. There is also an extra postage charge for our larger products to the Highlands.

Please allow 21 days for delivery.

Non receipt of Goods: Loss of items are quite rare and as most items are dispatched by Royal Mail we would advise you to initially check with your local sorting/delivery office who will normally have your undelivered item ready for collection. If your item cannot be traced then the current Royal Mail policy is that a claim cannot be made until 15 WORKING days after the date delivery was expected.

Returns Policy

Our personalised products are made to order and have no intrinsic value once they have been personalised and as such we urge you to take great care that no mistakes are made when ordering from our website as we cannot accept returns once the item has been personalised unless delivered damaged or if we have made an error.

Please inform us as soon as possible if any items are delivered damaged or if we have made an error in your order. We will then advise you on whether or not the item has to be returned. If an item has to be returned then it must be unused and it's original packaging. For your records we advise that you retain a proof of posting if the item has to be returned.

An administration charge of £2.00 will be applied if a refund has to be issued due to customer error.

Please note that personalised items can only be refunded if found damaged at time of delivery. This does not affect your statutory rights as defined in Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Privacy Policy

All data collection is done lawfully in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018.

We only store your personal information when you place an order on the site. This essential ordering information (including your name, address, telephone number, and email address) is never passed on to any third party.

The only other data collection that takes place on this site is the recording of general statistical information relating to site "traffic" - e.g. the total number of visitors, the number of pages visited, etc. This information does not include any personal information about individual visitors. The data recorded is used by Handmade By Emma to determine visitor trends, and for marketing advertising space on the site.

Legal Requirements & Product Description

We try our best to ensure all our photographic images and descriptions are as accurate as possible and that our prices relate to the products sold. Please note that our items are hand made with natural products and style of personalisation, colours, designs, sizes and materials may occasionally vary from those illustrated. Many of our products have a stain finish allowing the natural beauty of the grain to show through.
In the event of any mistake relating to the content of our website we reserve the right to cancel any purchase and refund the purchaser to the value of the funds we have received. An administration charge of £2.00 will be applied if a refund has to be issued due to customer error.
